JAMAR'S ASDCO
DIVISION SUPPLIES CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS FOR THE EAST BAY
SUITES
The "East Bay Suites" in Grand Marais, MN is one of the
larger construction projects the North Shore has seen
in 2006. Remodeling was done to convert
the existing hotel into condominiums along with a new
20,000 square foot addition as shown. The addition
has 3 levels all supported by Reward's (ICF system) Insulated
Concrete Form construction and high efficiency, in-floor
radiant heating make this a state of the art project
for the area.
Six semi truck loads of Reward were required to support
the cement walls. This makes up approximately 3,400 straight
pieces of Reward at 5.33 square feet apiece and 110 corners
at 5.11sq.ft apiece. The original section of the
hotel has been completely remodeled with suites now including
stone fire places.
Morcon Construction, based out of
St. Paul was the General Contractor for this job. ASDCO
supplied S & C Construction with the majority of
the products required to build the new addition. APi
Electric also worked on this job.
