Phase III Hanger Project
Phase III Hanger Project
Prime Mechanical Contractor: The Jamar Company

The Jamar Architectural Division recently completed the standing seam metal panel roof system on the Minnesota Air National Guard Phase III Hanger Project.

This project was unique in the fact that all panels were specified by the full length with no transverse seams. The gable roof structure utilized panels with lengths up to 138 lineal feet. This required special roll forming equipment and engineered scaffolding to allow the panels to be run on the roof at the site. The handling of panels of this length required ten men for each panel.

The panels were field fabricated, crated and stored on the roof in four working days. Installation of the panels was completed in approximately four weeks under the supervision of Dean Thrun.

The total roof installation required 276-16’’ wide roofing panels, which totaled 33,600 lineal feet or approximately 6.3 miles of metal. Thanks for all of the hard work from our dedicated crew. Great Job!
