JAMAR
COMPANY IS CURRENTLY INSTALLING THE LATEST STATE OF THE ART
TECHNOLOGY AT THE PRESQUE ISLE POWER PLANT
Jamar is currently involved in installing the latest
state of the art technology for WE Energies at their
fossil fuel burning electric generating facility the
Presque Isle Power Plant (PIPP) in Marquette, MI. This
project, called the "Toxicon Retrofit for Mercury & Multi-Pollutant
Control" which is essentially a new fabric filter
baghouse with a PAC (Powder Activate Carbon) injection
system. The purpose of this technology is to remove not
only the typical fossil fuel pollutants (Fly Ash), but
with the new PAC component also the heavy metal mercury.
This latest state of the art technology installation
is a joint venture between WE Energies and the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA).
