Our History

Interestingly enough, before making his investment, Walker found work counting hours – as a timekeeper with A.H. Krieger, a Duluth, MN, pipe-covering firm. Learning the business, honing his skills and, most importantly, counting his savings, he bought the company five years later.

In 1985, APi Group, a St. Paul-based private holding company, brought us into the fold. Acquisitions since, such as Arrowhead Refrigeration, further enhance our capabilities and enriched our history of success.

But through it all, we stayed true to our founder and our history – making every hire, every estimate, every project, every conversation, every day – count.
